With the launch of Lumen, a platform created in partnership with Unique to help employees work smarter, faster and more accurately, LGT Private Banking has taken a big step forward in its AI journey. Designed to be secure and user-friendly, Lumen is already making a difference across the company.
In this video, our CEO Manuel Grenacher met with Simon Gomez, Head of Innovation Management at LGT, and Roland Matt, CEO of LGT Private Banking Europe, to discuss the transformative potential of AI in banking.
Lumen is a custom-built, private version of Unique FinanceGPT that’s now available to around 5000 LGT employees around the world. It’s designed to make accessing information simple and fast – whether it’s internal policies, research, or other resources employees rely on daily. The results speak for themselves: in just a few months, three out of four employees have used Lumen, with over 500,000 interactions logged. And usage is growing every week.
One of Lumen’s standout features is the Investment Research Assistant, built to help relationship managers find stock data, pull relevant fact sheets, and draft emails – all in record time. It’s a practical solution for a specific need, and it’s already saving employees time while improving accuracy. Tools like this show how AI can make a real impact in day-to-day tasks.
The success of Lumen comes down to teamwork. LGT’s innovation and AI teams worked closely with Unique to build a platform that fits the unique needs of a private bank. This collaboration has helped position LGT as a leader in responsible AI use in the financial industry. Lumen is just the start. LGT has big plans to add more features in the future, and this is only the beginning of how AI will transform the way the company works. For LGT, it’s not just about adopting new technology—it’s about doing it in a way that’s secure, efficient, and makes life easier for employees.
